1. The Gospel bells are ringing.
\n Over land, from sea to sea;
\n Blessed news of free salvation
\n\tDo they offer you and me.
\n\t“For God so loved the world
\n\tThat His only Son He gave!
\n\tWhosoever believeth in Him
\n\tEverlasting life shall have”<\/p>\n
\tChorus:
\n\tGospel bells! How they ring.
\n\tOver land, from sea to sea;
\n\tGospel bells, freely bring,
\n\tBlessed news to you and me.<\/p>\n
\t2. The Gospel bens invites us
\n\tTo a feast prepared for us;
\n\tDo not slight the invitation,
\n\tNor reject the gracious call.
\n\t“I am the Bread of life,
\n\tEat of Me, thou hungry soul;
\n\tThough your sins be red as crimson,
\n\tThey shall be as white as wool.”<\/p>\n
\t3. The Gospel bens give warning.
\n\tAs they sound from day to day,
\n\tOf the fate which doth await them
\n\tWho forever will delay.
\n\t“Escape thou for thy life!
\n\tTarry not in all the plain;
\n\tNor behind thee look, oh, never,
\n\tLest thou be consumed in pain.”<\/p>\n
4. The Gospel bens are joyful
\n\tAs they echo far and wide,
\n\tBearing notes of perfect pardon,
\n\tThrough a Saviour crucified:
\n\t“Good tidings of great joy
\n\tTo all people do I bring;
\n\tUnto you is born a Saviour,
