1. O for a faith that will not shrink,
\n\tTho’ pressed by every foe,
\n\tThat will not tremble on the brink
\n\tOf any earthly woe!<\/p>\n
\t2. That will not murmur nor complain
\n\tBeneath the chastening rod,
\n\tBut in the hour of grief or pain,
\n\tWill lean upon its God;<\/p>\n
\t3. A faith that shines more bright and clear
\n\tWhen tempests rage without;
\n\tThat when in danger knows no fear,
\n\tIn darkness feels no doubt.<\/p>\n
\t4. Lord, give us such a faith as this,
