1. Spirit of God, descend upon my heart;
\n\tWean it from earth; thro’ all its pulses move;
\n\tStoop to my weakness, Mighty as Thou art,
\n\tAnd make me love Thee as I ought to love.<\/p>\n
\t2. I ask no dream, no prophet ecstasies
\n\tNo sudden rendering of the veil of clay,
\n\tNo angel visitant, no opening skies:
