1. They rolled a stone before the door,
\n\tAs in the grave He lay;
\n\tGod raise Him up, our living Lord,
\n\tAnd made the first Lord’s Day<\/p>\n
\tChorus:
\n\tWe sing for joy, we sing for joy
\n\tWith loving thanks we say
\n\t“God raised Him up, our living
\n\tLord, and made the first Lord’s Day”<\/p>\n
\t2. The birds that sang, the flowers that bloomed,
\n\tThey brought no joy that spring.
\n\tTill Christ was raised from death to be
\n\tOur living Lord and King.<\/p>\n
\t3. All earth is dressed in green this day,
\n\tTo greet our risen Lord; We praise Him, for
