1. When I was but a little child how well I recollect,
\n\tHow I would grieve my mother with my folly and neglect:
\n\tAnd now that she has gone to heav’n I miss her tender care;
\n\tO Saviour tell my<\/p>\n

\n\tMother I’ll be there! Tell mother
\n\tI’ll be there in answer to her prayer;
\n\tThis message, blessed Saviour, to her bear!
