1. Though troubles assail, And dangers affright,
\n\tThough friends should all fail, And foes all unite,
\n\tYet one thing secures us, Whatever betide;
\n\tThe scripture assures us, “The Lord will provide.<\/p>\n
\t“2. The birds, without barn or storehouse, are fed;
\n\tFrom them let us learn to trust for our bread
\n\tHis saints what is fitting shall never be denied,
\n\tSo long as ’tis written “The Lord will provide.”<\/p>\n
\t3. His call we obey, Like Abram of old,
\n\tNot knowing our way but faith makes us bold;
\n\tFor Though we are strangers we have a good Guide,
\n\tAnd trust, in all dangers “The Lord will provide.”<\/p>\n
\t4. No strength of our own, Or goodness we claim;
\n\tYet, since we have known The Saviour’s great Name,
\n\tIn this our strong tower for safety we hide,
