1. One is walking with me over life’s uneven way,
\n\tConstantly supporting me each moment of the day;
\n\tHow can I be lonely when such fellowship is mine.
\n\tWith my blessed Lord divine!<\/p>\n
\tChorus:
\n\tHow can I be lonely when I’ve Jesus only
\n\tTo be my companion and unfailing guide;
\n\tWhy should I be weary. Or my path seem dreary,
\n\tWhen He’s walking by my side.<\/p>\n
\t2. Days may bring their burdens and their trials as I go,
\n\tBut my Lord is near and helps to make them lighter grow,
\n\tLife may have its crosses or its losses, or increase,
\n\tJesus meets them all with peace.<\/p>\n
\t3. In the hour of sad bereavement or of bitter less,
\n\tI can find support and consolation at the cross;
\n\tWant or woe or suff’ring all seem glorified when
\n\tHe Daily walks and talks with me,<\/p>\n
\t4. In life’s rosy morning when the skies above are clear,
\n\tIn its noontide hours with many cares and problems near,
\n\tOr when evening shadows fall at closing of my day
