1. As I journey thro’ the land singing as I go.
\n\tPointing souls to Calvary to the crimson flow,
\n\tMany arrows pierce my soul from without within;
\n\tBut my Lord leads me on, thro’ Him I must win<\/p>\n
\tChorus:
\n\tO I want to see Him, look upon His face,
\n\tThere to sing forever of His saving grace;
\n\tOn the streets of Glory let me lift my voice;
\n\tCares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.<\/p>\n
\t2. When in service for my Lord dark may be the night,
\n\tBut I’ll cling more close to Him, He will give me light;
\n\tSatan snares may vex my soul, turn my tho’ts aside;
\n\tBut my Lord goes ahead, leads whate’er betide<\/p>\n
\t3. When in valleys low I look tow’rd the mountain heights,
\n\tAnd behold my Saviour there, leading in the fight,
\n\tWith a tender hand outstretched tow’rd the valley low,
\n\tGuiding me, I can see, as I onward go,<\/p>\n
\t4. When before me billows rise from the mighty deep.
\n\tThen my Lord directs my bark; He doth safely keep,
\n\tAnd He leads me gently on thro’ this world below,
