1. The cross that He gave may be heavy.
\n\tBut it ne’er outweighs His grace;
\n\tThe storm that is feared may surround me,
\n\tBut it ne’er excludes His face<\/p>\n
\tChorus:
\n\tThe cross is not greater than His grace,
\n\tThe storm cannot hide His blessed face;
\n\tI am satisfied to know that with Jesus here below,
\n\tI can conquer every foe.<\/p>\n
\t2. The thoms in my path are not sharper
\n\tThan composed His crown for me;
\n\tThe cup that I drink not more bitter
\n\tThan He drank in Gethsemane,<\/p>\n
3. The light of His love shinneth brighter,
\n\tAs it falls on paths of woe;
\n\tThe toil of my work groweth lighter,
\n\tAs I stoop to raise the low,<\/p>\n
