1. Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear;
\n\tThings I would ask Him to tell me,
\n\tIf He were here: Scenes by the wayside,
\n\tTales of the sea, Stories of Jesus
\n\tTell them to me.<\/p>\n
\t2. First let me hear how the Children,
\n\tStood round His knee and I shall fancy
\n\tHis blessing resting on me:
\n\tWords full of grace,All in the love-light
\n\tOf Jesus’ face.<\/p>\n
\t3. Tell how the sparrow that twitters,
\n\tOn yonder tree and the sweet meadow-side
\n\tLily may speak to me: Give me their message,
\n\tFor I would hear how Jesus taught us,
\n\tOur Father’s care.<\/p>\n
\t4. Tell me, in cents of wonder,
\n\tHow rolled the sea, Tossing the boat
\n\tIn a tempest on Galilee; And how the Master,
\n\tReady and kind chide the billows
\n\tAnd hushed the wind.<\/p>\n
\t5. Into city I’d follow the children’s band,
\n\tWaving a branch of the palm-tree high in my hand;
\n\tOne of His heralds,
\n\tYes, I would sing, loudest husannas!
\n\tJesus is king!<\/p>\n
6. Show me that scene, in the garden,
