1. I have found a friend in Jesus
\n\tHe’s everything to me,
\n\tHe’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
\n\tThe Lily of the Valley in Him alone I see,
\n\tAll I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
\n\tIn sorrow He’s my comfort in trouble
\n\tHe’s my stay He tells me every care on Him to roll:
\n\tHe’s the lily of the valley, the Bright and Morning Star,
\n\tHe’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.<\/p>\n
\t2. He all my grief has taken, and all my sorrows borne;
\n\tIn temptation He’s my strong and mighty tower,
\n\tI have all for Him forsaken and all my idols tom.
\n\tFrom my heart, and now He keeps me by His power,
\n\tThough all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore
\n\tThrough Jesus I shall safely reach the goal:
