1. Come down, O love Divine, Seek Thou
\n\tThis Soul of mine, And visit it with Thine own.
\n\tAdour glowing comforter draws near,
\n\tWithin my heart Appear and kindle it.
\n\tThy holy flame bestowing.<\/p>\n
\t2. O let freely bum, Till earthly passions turn
\n\tTo dust and ashes in its heat consuming
\n\tAnd let Thy glorious light, Shine ever on my sight
\n\tAnd clothe me round, the while, My path illuming<\/p>\n
\t3. Let holy charity, Mine outward vesture be,
\n\tAnd lowliness become mine inner clothing;
\n\tTrue tow lines of heart, Which takes the humbler part,
\n\tAnd over its shortcomings, Weeps with loathing.<\/p>\n
4. And so the yearning strong. With which the soul will long,
\n\tShall far out pass the power of human telling.
\n\tFor none can guess its grace, I’ll
