1. Crown Him with many crowns,
\n\tThe lamb upon His throne;
\n\tHark!How the heavenly anthem drowns,
\n\tAll music but its own: Awake, my soul, and sing.
\n\tOf Him who died for thee,
\n\tAnd hail Him as thy matchless King.
\n\tThro’ all eternity.<\/p>\n
\t2. Crown Him the Lord of life,
\n\tWho triumphed over the grave,
\n\tAnd rose victorious in the strife
\n\tFor those He came to save: His glorious now
\n\tWe sing who died and rose on high;
\n\tWho died eternal life to bring.
\n\tAnd lives that death may die.<\/p>\n
\t3. Crown Him the Lord of love;
\n\tBehold His hands and side,
\n\tThose wounds, yet visible above
\n\tIn beautiful glorified: No angel in the sky
\n\tCan fully bear that sight,
\n\tBut downward bends His burning eye
\n\tAt mysteries so bright<\/p>\n
\t4. Crown Him the Lord of peace,
\n\tWhose power scepter sways
\n\tFrom pole to pole that wars may cease,
\n\tAnd all be prayer and praise,
\n\tHis reign shall know no end,
\n\tAnd round His pierced feet
\n\tFair flowers of Paradise extend
