1. My soul in sad exile was out in life’s sea,
\n\tSo burdened with sin and distrest,
\n\tTill I heard a sweet voice saying.
\n\t“Make me Your choice,” And I entered the haven of rest.<\/p>\n
\tChorus:
\n\tI’ve anchored my soul in the haven of rest.
\n\tI’ll sail the wild seas no more;
\n\tThe tempest may sweep o’er the wild
\n\tstormy Deep, In Jesus I’m safe evermore.<\/p>\n
\t2. I yielded myself to His tender embrace,
\n\tAnd, faith taking hold of the word,
\n\tMy fetters fell off, and I anchored my soul;
\n\tThe haven of rest is my Lord.<\/p>\n
\t3. The song of my soul, since the Lord made
\n\tMe whole. Has been the old story so blest,
\n\tOf Jesus, who’ll save whosoever will have
\n\tA home in the haven of rest.<\/p>\n
