1. Go to dark Gethsemane,
\n\t Ye who feel the tempter’s power;
\n\tYour Redeemer’s conflict see;
\n\tWitch with Him one bitter hour,
\n\tTum hot from His grieves away;
\n\tLearn of Jesus to pray<\/p>\n
\t2. Follow to the judgment hall
\n\tView the Lord of life arraigned:
\n\tThe worm-wood and the fall!
\n\tThe pang His soul sustained!
\n\tShun not suffering, shame or loss
\n\tLeam of Him to bear the cross.<\/p>\n
\t3. Calvary’s mournful mountain climb
\n\tThere, adoring at His feet,
\n\tMark the miracle of time
\n\tGod’s own sacrifice complete;
\n\t“It is finished” Hear the cry;
\n\tLearn of Jesus Christ to die.<\/p>\n
4. Early hasten to the tomb
\n\tWhere they laid His breathless clay;
\n\tAll is solitude and gloom
\n\tWho hath taken Him away?
